A cosmetic base is the underlying product formula that a finished cosmetic is built from. It is a professionally formulated and manufactured product base supplied without branding. Each base is designed with a specific texture and intended purpose, giving a clear starting point that can be selected, enhanced, packaged, and branded independently.
By starting with a cosmetic base, brands avoid developing a formula from scratch while retaining flexibility over how the final product is finished and positioned.
What types of cosmetic bases do you offer?

Can I add my own fragrance or essential oils?
Yes. Our bases are developed for customisation, allowing fragrance, essential oils, or other selected additions to be incorporated as desired.
What is added and how, is entirely up to you.
Do all bases contain a preservative system?
Yes. All bases are supplied with a professional preservative system appropriate for the base as provided.

What is the shelf life of your cosmetic bases?
Our cosmetic bases can have a shelf life of up to 24 months when stored unopened in original packaging under recommended conditions. A best-before date is provided per batch. Once customised, the final shelf life will depend on your formulation and packaging. Brands are responsible for confirming expiry and PAO of their finished product.
What order sizes do you offer?
Our cosmetic bases are available from 1 kg through to 1000+ kg bulk sizes as your brand grows. Allowing you to start small, test ideas, and scale confidently without high minimum order requirements.

All bases are Australian made and produced in our GMP certified facility.

What is the difference between CMSC Bulk Bases and Private Label manufacturing?
Create My Skin Care specialises in bulk bases only.
CMSC supplies professionally formulated cosmetic bases in bulk format, developed to be further customised and packaged independently. These foundations can be enhanced with fragrance, selected actives, or other adjustments and filled under your own brand. Minimums start from 1 kg, offering lower entry volumes and greater flexibility without full custom formulation development. All finishing steps, including additions, packaging, labelling, claims, and market placement are managed independently by the purchaser.

Do I own the IP?
You own everything you build beyond the base.Â
For each cosmetic base, we provide a full INCI ingredient list that shows exactly what is in the product. While the detailed formulation itself isn’t disclosed, there are no hidden ingredients. Anything you add, including fragrance, essential oils, or other extras — along with your branding, packaging, naming, and how the product is presented or marketed, is entirely yours.Â
